Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to Beverley Holidays to spend the morning finding out why this holiday park is the one of the best for a family trip in South Devon. Located in Paignton, on the stunning English Riviera, Beverley Holidays boasts a wide range of activities to enjoy and it’s located nearby to some beautiful beaches and fantastic attractions.  We’re going to take you on a little tour of the park to find out what you and your little ones can get up to.

Beverley Holidays consists of three parks; Beverley Park, Beverley Bay and Beverley View. Beverley Park is where all the action is taking place, here you’ll find the pools, play areas and plenty more. Beverley Bay sits just over the road with a more relaxed setting but of course with all the fantastic Beverley Park facilities at your disposal too. Beverley View is a smaller park which is nearest to the beach and has stunning sea views due to its location perched on top of the hill.

Accommodation

First up we had a little nosy around most of the accommodation options on site. From cosy family friendly caravans and generous touring pitches, to luxury hot tub lodges and dog friendly accommodation, there is truly something for every taste and budget.

The caravans and lodges on offer vary, sleeping between four and eight people depending on which you choose. If you’re really impressed with your stay, you’re even able to purchase accommodation so you can visit regularly and enjoy all that Torbay has to offer. Things to do

You’ll be pleased to know that if your kids are in tow for your holiday there will always be something to do to keep them entertained. Whether it’s a morning at a one of the pools or a round of adventure golf.

Pools

Beverley Holidays boast three fantastic pools which were next up on our tour. The Cove Outdoor Pool located at Beverley Bay, the Tropical Indoor Pool and the Lagoon Outdoor Pool, both of which can be found at Beverley Park. The Tropical Indoor Pool is heated and has a hot tub, steam room and sauna for those relaxing afternoons. The Lagoon Outdoor Pool, the largest of the three, has two paddling pools for the younger ones and a children’s water fountain, it’s also where you’ll find the water-based activities such as sea scooters and inflatable sessions. For a more chilled outdoor pool, visit The Cove Pool, also heated, at Beverley Bay, perfect for soaking up the sunshine.

Activities

Your little ones will not get bored at Beverley Holidays, from arts and crafts sessions to interactive activities such as a mad science school, there’s loads to get involved with. If you prefer to create your own entertainment with the family, then why not have a round of adventure golf or let off some steam at their playground. Those under the age of 8 also have a soft play to make the most of and there’s an amusement arcade on site for the whole family to enjoy.

Eating & Drinking

When it comes to dining at Beverley Holidays you’ve got a great range of options to choose from. If you’re chilling by the pool, there’s a waterfront kiosk serving local ice cream and cake as well as teas and coffee. A visit to the English Riviera wouldn’t be complete without a fish and chip dinner, and at Beverley you can grab this seaside favourite from their takeaway bar; The Catch Takeaway. They’ve even got a click and collect so you can pick up your yummy food and head back to your accommodation or enjoy it down to the beach.

For all your other dining needs the Jetty Lounge, Bar and Terrace is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving up a wide range of food and a fantastic kid's menu to keep everyone happy, it’s the perfect place to enjoy your family meals. You really can’t beat the view from the terrace too, overlooking Torbay and out to sea, it’s ideal for an evening cocktail whilst the sun sets. We enjoyed a delicious lunch here whilst we visited and certainly recommend the Halloumi Salad! Over the road at Beverley Bay, you’ll find Saltwater Pub, which serves an amazing selection of local ales and ciders and shows all your favourite live sports.

Local Area

If all that isn’t enough to convince you to book your next family staycation at Beverley Holidays, this might just tip the bucket!

Attractions

Not only is there tons to do on site come rain or shine, but the location of this park is perfectly positioned to explore all that Torbay has to offer. One of the most popular attractions in the area is Paignton Zoo, where your little ones can run wild and get up close and personal to some exotic creature. Perhaps a day out at Babbacombe Model Village is more your scene, where you can admire the miniatures and just round the corner is Bygones. Here you’ll find a huge collection of Victorian memorabilia and some fantastic displays that the whole family will love. These are just a few of the brilliant family attractions on offer in the area.

Beverley Holidays is a short distance from local beaches such as Oyster Cove, Broadsands and Goodrington. Goodrington is a super family friendly beach with great facilities and its even home to the UK’s largest outdoor waterpark, Splashdown Quaywest. There are lots of other beaches to explore nearby, from more sheltered, secluded coves to long sandy expanses, so whether the kids in your party like to paddle, go rock pooling or just build an epic sandcastle, you’ll find a beach perfect for you.
