Valentines in South Devon

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, sometimes we all need a bit of extra inspiration for something to do with your special someone. South Devon’s varied landscape, numerous eateries and unusual attractions offer up plenty of great places to enjoy a date. Set in 33 acres of beautiful woodland on the edge of Dartmoor with some stunning views of the surrounding countryside, Dartmoor Zoo is a unique zoo with a fantastic collection of animals. Valentines at House of Marbles, Bovey Tracey (11th February)

Leave the kiddies at home with the babysitter for the evening and enjoy a romantic Valentines meal for two at The Pottery Restaurant at the House of Marbles. For £80 per couple you can enjoy a divine three-course meal with pink prosecco, canapes and boozy truffles. Dishes include baked camembert, pan fried scallops, lobster thermidor and fillet steak – yum!

Flower Workshop, Dunchideock Barton, nr Exeter (11th February)

Spend the morning at a Valentines flower workshop with the British Academy of Floral Art at Dunchideock near Exeter. It’s a great place to relax, learn a new skill and meet like-minded flower-lovers. With no prior experience needed, this workshop is taught by expert tutors and provides you with everything you need, plus you get to take home your floral design at the end of the session. If you miss this event, then don’t worry – they’re also hosting a Mother’s Day workshop on 17th March and an Easter workshop on 1st April.

Valentines Twilight Tram and Meal, Seaton Tramway, Seaton (14th February)

Treat your loved one to a unique date experience this Valentine’s Day and take them on a tram journey from Seaton to Colyton, then enjoy a delicious three-course meal. Attendees will be able to enjoy a glass of prosecco on arrival, followed by a starter, main course and desert, costing just £29.95 per person.
