The Miniature Pony Centre, Dartmoor is a great ‘hands-on’ family day out filled with lots of cuteness and pony magic for children and adults alike.

Unicorns, Miniature Shetlands and their foals, Miniature Pigs, Harris, our Suffolk Punch horse, miniature, and Mammoth Donkeys are all waiting to meet you and your family when you visit us on the Dartmoor National Park.

As well as lots of super cute ponies and donkeys, the Centre also offers a truly hands-on and unique experience to interact with our animals as well as taking part in our free daily activities. We will be welcoming 4 new foals this spring and they are super adorable.

Our Unicorns are here every day we are open, and they can be found in our sparkly Rainbow Stables. New for 2021, our Unicorn picture time will give you and your family the opportunity to meet our unicorns and have your picture taken with them.

Our daily activities could include Unicorn story, pony grooming, working the tractor, meet the herd, pony herding, meeting the bugs and piggy time.

New for 2021, we will be offering a fundraising activity for the NHS. Plant a sunflower and take it home and watch it grow. Please note, to take part in this activity a donation will be required of £1.00. All proceeds will go to the NHS and you will also be helping the bees.

There is plenty of open safe spaces, stunning Dartmoor scenery and all activities are run with COVID secure safety measures in place, including social distancing. Where social distancing is not possible during some activities our staff will be wearing face masks. We also have sneeze guards, deep cleans throughout the day, compulsory mask wearing in the shop and café in place.

Unfortunately, pony rides will not be available this year due to COVID restrictions, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Our outdoor play areas will be open including our trampolines and zip wire. There are antibacterial gels around the Centre for you and your family to use. Our nature trail around the ponds will have you hunting for all the answers to your questions on your sheet!

The café will be offering sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and a delightful selection of cakes and snacks. Yummy Langage Ice Cream will be available and delicious coffees too including our new range of coffee frappes and milkshakes. Lunch is served between 11.30 and 3.00 pm every day.
