Take your seat and enjoy the show! The Palace Theatre is open all year with an exciting and varied programme of live music, drama, comedy, variety and celebrity appearances. We’re in Paignton town centre just minutes from Torquay, Brixham, Totnes, Newton Abbot and within easy reach of Exeter and Plymouth. This small and friendly South Devon theatre and arts venue has a 380-seat auditorium, café-bar and Stage Left arts and events space. Managed by Jazz Hands, a Community Interest Company, the theatre works closely with Bijou Theatre Productions, Doorstep Arts, Paignton Pantomime Productions and a wide range of touring companies and performers to offer a full and exciting programme for South Devon residents and visitors; everything from stand-up to Shakespeare! Come along and share our passion for ballet, opera, drama, live music, ‘audience with’, variety, musicals, children’s shows and film.
The theatre, a hidden gem in the heart of Paignton, is really easy to find – just 5 minutes’ walk from Paignton town centre and the Bus and Rail stations and there is ample public parking around Palace Avenue Gardens. Our cosy bar is open before all performances and all our facilities are available to hire for special events, conferences and weddings!
