Torre Abbey Sands Beach is a beautiful long sandy beach that runs along the seafront in Torquay. The main beach for Torquay, its popular with families, paddleboarders or sun seekers all year round. Close to restaurants, cafe's, shops and parking - Torre Abbey sands beach is a great place to base yourself during a day trip or a longer stay in torquay. The sandy beach is great for making sandcastles and rests between rock headlands which provide a safe sheltered area.

Torre Abbey Meadows grass area is just behind the beach too, for those who want the joy of the seaside - without the sand. 

Torquay Marina is a 5 minute walk from Torre Abbey Sands beach, and the main Torquay town centre a few more minutes away. Restauants and shops line the road behind Torre Abbey and along into the Marina so there are plenty of places to stop for something to eat. Other attractions are also close by, including crazy golf, the Princess Theatre, and Princess Gardens. Toilets are provided just behind the beacj on Torre Abbey Meadows. 

Are Dogs allowed on Torre Abbey Sands Torquay?

Dogs are banned during the summer (May - Sept). There is a dog exercise area on Torre Abbey Meadows.

Are there toilets on Torre Abbey Beach? 

Yes there are toilets open all year round provided on Torre Abbey Meadows and on the corner of the seafront. These toilets also have disabled facilities and baby change. 

Is there Parking at Torre Abbey Sands?

Yes there is some on street parking available on Torquay Road, but there are some larger carparks a short distance away - including Abbey Car Park and Shedden Hill Car Park. These car parks are operated by Torbay Council. 

Is there disabled Access to Torre Abbey Beach?

There is a ramp provided onto Torre Abbey Beach for wheelchair users. Parking along the seafront there are no steps to the beach.
