Join us for the Artist Preview of our Autumn Sculpture Season, a showcase of contemporary sculpture and ceramics that brings together five distinctive makers exploring clay, glass, and form in inventive, expressive ways. This special evening also marks the launch of Charlotte Sainsbury's exhibition of collagraph prints, offering visitors a double celebration of contemporary practice in Torquay.
About the Exhibition
The Autumn Sculpture Season presents a diverse mix of practices:
• Bev Knowlden's theatrical clay portraits in resin, at once haunting and humorous.
• Le.Jack's clay forms exploring balance between masculine and feminine energies.
• Tracy Nicholls' kiln-formed glass, inspired by fragility, erosion, and light.
• Alison West's saggar-fired ceramics, marked by fire, nature, and Devon clay.
• Becca Brown's narrative vessels, layered with drawing, folklore, and print.
Together, these artists celebrate the raw beauty of material, storytelling, and experimentation.
