Dartmouth will be holding a Public Service to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D Day on Thursday 6th June 2019 at the D Day Memorial, North Embankment at 11.00am followed by a short service at the American Battle Monuments Commission Memorial in Royal Avenue Gardens.
Amongst those attending will be the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon, Captain Woodard and officers from Britannia Royal Naval College, the Naval Attaché from US Embassy, a representative from the American Battle Monuments Commission, representatives from the Landing Craft Association, neighbouring parishes, representatives of the Old Dartmothians Associations, members of local associations, The Mayor and Mayoress of Dartmouth and Dartmouth Town Councillors and members of the public.
