In celebration of the birthday of the most famous wizard of modern times, Torquay Museum is organising a whole day of fun-filled family friendly events on Saturday 3rd August from 10am – 4pm.

There will be potions making with a wizard and witch that Harry Potter would be very familiar with. Visitors can make their own wands under expert supervision, and a storyteller will read from the Harry Potter novels. There will be wizard and witch-themed face painting, and a Fantastic Beasts themed trail around the Museum. There will even be an opportunity to mix your own (non-alcoholic) potions cocktails in the Museum's café.

Visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Harry Potter character to add to the fun of the day, and also to enter our fancy dress competition.

We anticipate there being high demand for this event so visitors can pre-book their tickets for the Harry Potter Birthday Celebration Day on Eventbrite to avoid disappointment (there is a small booking fee charged by Eventbrite), call Torquay Museum on 01803 293975 between 10am and 4pm, or buy their tickets on the day at Torquay Museum for £5 each. As this is a special event day, unfortunately annual return tickets are not valid.
