Irish pubs in Devon

Kitty O’Hanlons, Plymouth 

Plymouth’s first and only Irish Bar set right in the heart of the city, Kitty O’Hanlons is a traditional pub with a fantastic atmosphere.  

With frequent live music and numerous screens for sporting events, Kitty's is a great place for both a quick one if you’re just passing by or an all-in late-night knees-up!   

What’s more, this year they have two bands lined up to entertain audiences on St Patrick’s Day. Both sets are free entry, with no ticket needed. However, numbers are restricted, so we suggest trying to get here early to secure your spot. 

Seamus O'Donnells, Torquay 

Set on the harbour side in Torquay, Seamus O’Donnells is a family run pub with a good old-fashioned, traditional atmosphere where everyone is a friend. 

Whether you’re just back from a fishing trip in the bay, taking a stroll around the harbour or out with friends sharing a few drinks, Seamus O’Donnells is the perfect place to while away a few hours. 

With friendly and efficient bar staff, your visit will be both a warm and memorable one. Making the most of longer days in the summer, the bar opens each morning at 10am serving snacks, chilled beers, branded spirits and the best pints of Guinness in the bay.  

In the evening, O’Donnells springs to life with live entertainment running seven nights a week. Join in with a round of karaoke, take part in fun quizzes and listen to live music from authentically Irish singers to really get in the mood!

The Stand Off, Exeter 

Boasting all the elements of a great Irish bar, The Stand Off in Exeter is a fantastic location for sports fans – particularly rugby fans! Refurbished by Exeter Chiefs player Gareth Steenson (who has strong Northern Irish roots), this bar offers the best of traditional Irish hospitality. 

Visitors can enjoy all the rugby memorabilia that features on every wall, plus plenty of Live Sport, music, Guinness and ales, as well as traditional Irish dishes and wholesome pub grub.

Dicey Reilly's, Teignmouth  

An Irish-themed bar with an Irish landlord and lady, Dicey Reilly’s is a friendly and laidback bar renowned for its excellent live music and community feel. 

Previously called the Dawlish Inn and now a split-level Irish pub, this is an authentic bar where you can grab a pint of fresh Guinness and have a good chat with the welcoming bartender.  

Many visitors recommend heading to Dicey Reilly’s after touring the Teignmouth & Shaldon Museum. You will appreciate delicious lager at Dicey Reilly's after exploring everything the town and museum have to offer.
