Bar Buoy Cocktails

Bar Buoy produces a range of small batch bottled cocktails mixed by the sea in Devon. Each cocktail is carefully handcrafted using premium spirits and high quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible.

The business is steered by Tim Ball (aka the bar boy, who has over 25 years experience running event bars around the world) and his wife Ria (who has worked in the management teams of small businesses for over 20 years).

Bar Buoy began in 2020 when Tim and Ria would meet friends on the beach with a flask full of Tim’s carefully crafted Margarita tucked in their rucksack. The feedback was unanimously good and the question was soon asked.... “why don’t you bottle it?" So they did.

In November 2020 Bar Buoy Cocktails was established with the Margarita sitting firmly at the top of the menu. Initially the business operated as an online shop selling direct to consumers at home, but as the world opened up so did the opportunities. The cocktails are now retailed in a number of leading southwest independents as well as served in several bars, restaurants, hotels and event venues.

Although the shape and size of the business has changed, the purpose of it hasn’t and the main aim remains the same...to produce a range of handcrafted, premium cocktails that put smiles on faces and let the good times roll.
