Bakers Park is situated on the outskirts of Newton Abbot on the A381, Totnes Road, and is within walking distance of the town. This large open park is great for a whole range of recreational activities and ball games. The park is home to a number of football pitches as well as four free tennis courts where you can just turn up and play. 
 
The Park includes a children’s play area which is divided in to two fenced off areas, one with climbing frames and slides suitable for smaller children and an area with larger apparatus including a zip line for the older or more adventurous child.

The majority of the open space in Bakers Park is flat, however the area running along the Totnes Road is steeply banks. With such large open spaces available the park is ideal for dog walking and joggers.

To the west of Bakers Park through a small gate is a large meadow area and woods which surrounds and makes up the grounds of Bradley Manor, a National Trust property. To one side of the meadow is the River Lemon which flows pass the park and on in to Newton Abbot. This pretty and peaceful meadow and wooded area is perfect of an evening stroll in the summer months or a weekend walk.

The park has a free car park with a catering van located nearby where hot drinks and snacks can be purchased. There are a number of seats and picnic benches located around the park providing the perfect stopping spots to relax and watch the world go by or to enjoy a picnic. With a wide choice of activities to enjoy and spaces to explore a trip to Bakers Park is the perfect destination for a great day out that your whole party will enjoy.
