Easter at Exeter Racecourse means racing, running and a racecourse full of family fun.
On Sunday 22 March 2026, the Guildhall Shopping Exeter Family Raceday brings together live jump racing and a packed programme of free children's entertainment.
Young racegoers can take part in children's running races on the home straight, charging towards the finish line to a grandstand full of cheers. Free goody bags add to the excitement, with activities running throughout the afternoon to keep energy high between races.
The main event remains the racing itself, with horses and jockeys thundering up the home straight in a full afternoon of competitive action.
South West Wildlife will also host an information stand on the day.
Under 18s go free.
Family ticket available in advance for £28 for two adults and unlimited children aged 17 and under.
Free return bus from Exeter St David's departing at 12.15pm and returning at 5.55pm.
A proper Easter day out with noise, colour and a finish line for everyone.

Public Transport Directions

A complimentary bus service runs to Exeter Racecourse from Exeter St. Davids. Please note this service is available on a strictly first come, first served basis. Please note that this bus service no longer goes via Exeter bus station.

There is also a bus (Bus 39) which goes from Exeter Bus Station to Newton Abbot via Exeter Racecourse. The Exeter Racecourse stop is between the 'Countess Wear Roundabout' and 'Chudleigh Memorial' and is just opposite the Brightside restaurant on the A38 dual carriageway.

With the new development across the A38, there is now a return bus stop to Exeter on the other side of the road. To access this bus stop please walk to the end of our driveway, turn left and then the first left again towards the services. The new bus stop is on the back road opposite Costa. Please do not cross the A38 to get to this stop. If you are unsure on how to get there please ask a member of our team.
