Now in its 11th year the lantern parade has proved to be a popular event for the town of Newton Abbot. The event consists of the primary schools of Newton Abbot (year 5 class children) taking part in a procession to display their lanterns through the town centre.
The parade will start at Bearnes Primary School on Queen Street and will process up Queen Street through Courtenay Street, up Bank Street along Highweek Way and Wolborough Street ending at the Clock Tower.
