An intimate night of melody & mystery.
Mae Karthauser is a spellbinding songwriter whose music blends chamber-folk, theatrical pop, and experimental soundscapes. With her rich, acrobatic voice and flair for storytelling, she conjures a world that's tender, playful, and full of heart.
Performing with her acoustic trio – flute, cello, and voice – Mae brings a fresh take on folk-pop. Her latest material is intimate yet expansive, drawing inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Joanna Newsom, and Albin de la Simone. Expect soaring melodies, curious textures, and moments of joyful unpredictability.
This is no ordinary gig – it's melodic, magical, and quietly powerful. A night of music that invites you to slow down, listen closely, and feel something real.
Recent highlights include:
✔️ Performed live on BBC2's The One Show
✔️ Featured on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 6
✔️ Headlined venues across the UK and Europe
✔️ Latest album August launched to a sell-out crowd at Dartington's Great Hall.
