Reaching Soar Mill Cove involves a scenic walk, either along the South West Coast Path or from nearby parking areas such as Bolberry Down or the Soar Mill Cove Hotel. The final descent to the beach is steep in places, so sturdy footwear is recommended.  

For a more adventurous approach, the cove can also be accessed by kayak or small boat from Salcombe, offering a unique perspective of the coastline.
