Opening Times

Sorry, this event has passed

One of the most popular events in the South Hams, Prawle Fair is like stepping back in time with all the old favourite attractions such as swing boats, children's train ride, test your strength, slippery pole, hoopla, raffles, children's tug of war and lots more.

A children's fancy dress competition follows the traditional "raising of the glove" and later in the afternoon there are knobbly knees and handsomest ankles contests for anyone who wants to exhibit their leggy charms. There are plenty of food and drink options from Pimms to cream teas and BBQ burgers to cakes. Live music throughout the fair and in the evening at the After Fair event.

Prawle Fair is a great community effort with lots of the villagers involved in one way or the other. It is run annually to raise money for the upkeep of Prawle Community Hall, other community projects and support various local good causes.
