We recently visited Parkland Caravan, Camping & Glamping Site in Kingsbridge, and it’s one of those places that immediately feels calm, welcoming and beautifully cared for.

Set in the heart of the South Hams countryside near Kingsbridge and Salcombe, the site has a really peaceful atmosphere with stunning surrounding views across the Devon landscape. Everywhere you look feels thoughtfully maintained, from the landscaped grounds to the colourful planting and spacious pitches.

What stood out most to me was just how many amenities are available on site. Whether you’re touring, camping, glamping, or staying in one of the self-catering options, everything feels designed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. There are modern washroom facilities, private washroom options on selected pitches, a campers’ kitchen, guest lounge, laundry facilities, and even an onsite licensed shop selling local produce and essentials.

The setting itself is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by mature grounds, natural hedgerows, and rolling countryside views stretching towards Salcombe and Dartmoor, it feels like the perfect base to switch off and enjoy South Devon at a slower pace.

It’s also easy to see why the site has built such a strong reputation. Everything I saw reflected the care and attention that’s clearly gone into creating a high-quality experience for guests, while still keeping that relaxed, traditional camping feel.

If you’re looking for a peaceful South Devon getaway with excellent facilities and beautiful surroundings, Parkland is definitely worth considering.
