Serving Devon's finest seafood in cracking style, The Oyster Shack is a relaxed, family-and-friends-run restaurant in Bigbury known for its fresh seasonal cooking and it's warm,
welcoming atmosphere.

What began as a simple oyster farm has grown into one of the area's most loved destinations - a place where people come to enjoy simple, well-crafted food in a setting that feels both special and effortless.

Subheader: Fresh, Local Seafood, Sourced with care

The kitchen champions local suppliers and seasonal produce, with a focus on high-quality ingredients sourced with care from Devon's coastline and surrounding producers. Expect everything from freshly shucked oysters and dressed crab to BBQ fish and lobster!

It's simple, ingredient-led cooking, where the focus stays on the quality of what's on the plate.

Subheader: More than just seafood

Seafood might be our thing, but it's not the only thing. From vibrant vegetarian and vegan dishes to options for meat lovers, we make sure there's something for everyone to enjoy.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, just let us know when you book or speak to the Shack Crew when you arrive. We'll always do our best to look after you.Now

Subheader: Dining through the seasons

In spring and summer, the restaurant opens out into a vibrant outdoor space, with BBQ cooking, lighter plates, and a sociable, sun-filled atmosphere. In autumn and winter, it transforms into a more intimate and cosy setting, centred around comfort, warmth, and slower dining.

Different seasons, different moods — the same Shack at heart.
