The Enchanted Magical Grotto is coming to the House of Marbles in Bovey Tracey this December, bringing families an immersive Christmas adventure filled with festive storytelling, mischievous elves, creative activities and plenty of Christmas magic.
Fernoodle the reindeer has lost his nose, the elves are in a muddle and Santa needs a little help putting everything right. Over the course of approximately one magical hour, children become part of the story as they follow Fernoodle's festive sticker-book mystery, meet the woodland elves and take part in interactive activities along the way.
Children will also make their own marble-nosed reindeer Christmas decoration to take home before the adventure reaches its festive finale with Santa. Families can enjoy an interactive Christmas storytime, children will receive a special Christmas gift, and there will be time to take your own family photographs with Santa at no additional charge.
The experience ends with one final touch of Christmas magic at the Whispering Wishing Tree, where children can add their own special Christmas wish before heading home. Every child leaves with their completed sticker book and handmade decoration as a keepsake from the adventure.
Designed primarily for children aged 3-10, the whole experience takes place indoors at the House of Marbles, making it a great option for families looking for a festive day out whatever the weather. Younger siblings and babies are also welcome, and children up to around 11 years old can enjoy the experience too.
The Enchanted Magical Grotto takes place on selected dates throughout December 2026, including 5, 6, 12, 13 and 18-23 December. Sessions begin from 10am and run on the hour, with each experience lasting approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
Tickets are £11 for adults, £18 for children aged 2+, with family ticket options available. Under 2s attend free, although a gift is not included with the free ticket, and carers accompanying a disabled visitor also attend free.
Advance booking is recommended, although a limited number of on-the-day tickets may be available subject to capacity.
