'Best Event Venue in the SW' prepares to host May Garden Party

As Kitley House near Yealmpton prepares to throw opens its gates for a celebratory Garden Party this May Bank Holiday, the hotel is delighted to have won Best Event Venue in the South West in the prestigious Event Entertainment Awards 2019.

The industry award comes as the hotel approaches its first anniversary under new ownership, and just weeks before it hosts a major family fun day for the local community - the Kitley House Garden party on Monday May 27th.

Kitley's beautiful gardens and grounds overlook the tranquil Yealm estuary, less than ten miles from Plymouth. The historic, family-run estate provides the ideal setting for a summer celebration outdoors with a wide variety of stalls and exhibitors, live music, local food and drink producers, cream teas on the lawn and a host of fun activities, including a dog show.

The event runs from 11am - 4pm in the gardens of the 500-year-old country house hotel. A former manor house, Kitley has for centuries played an important role in the life of the local community and the Garden Party continues that proud tradition.
