Take part in a programme of exhibition tours, artist-led events and hands-on family activities inspired by The Box's Summer of Expression season. Designed to encourage visitors of all ages to explore their own creativity, the programme offers opportunities to engage more deeply with the exhibitions and discover new ways of making, thinking and creating.

Tiny Tales (31 July and -21 August)
Theatrical torytelling sessions for younger children, combining books, songs and imaginative play.
Bitesize: A Look at 'Echoes of Us' (5 August) (5 August)
Join The Box's engagement officer to look around the 'Echoes of Us' exhibition, discovering more about what's on display and why it was selected.
Quiet and Calm Family Crafts (6 and 27 August)
Free bookable craft sessions in a quieter, more relaxed environment for children who prefer smaller groups
Messy Play for Grown-Ups: Artist-Led Art Workshop (7, 14, 21 and 28 August)
Unleash your creativity this August at The Box and we'll do all the cleaning up! Inspired by the abstract art of Gillian Ayres, relax, paint and have fun in these special workshops hosted by local artist Jayne Ashenbury. Come to one or the whole series – it's up to you. Glass of Pimm's or fruit punch included.
