Course: Frost and Fire: Experimental Landscape Painting with Anthony Garratt

The course is taught by leading contemporary landscape painter Anthony Garratt, also known for his large-scale public painting installations. His work centres on the weather, its impact and how the human element of landscape combines with the natural world, this means his work is often exhibited in remote locations with inspiring results.

This stimulating four-day course includes studio and outdoor practice and teaches how to apply contemporary paintings techniques using acrylic and water-based oil paints. For everyone from beginners to more practiced painters, it explores the importance of play and experimentation alongside more controlled and familiar techniques.
