Opening Times

Sorry, this event has passed

Bovey Tracey celebrates everything spring-like and traditional with the Green Man festival. A full day of entertainment packed with gift and craft stands, street food, maypole dancing, live music on the stage in the square, mummers plays and no less than 18 Morris sides dancing in all areas of the town. The town Crier will keep everyone informed of the events in progress and the parade led by the Green Man, his Twiglet and the May Queen will start at 11am. Towards the end of the day, witness the defoliation of the Green Man as he makes way for his successor for the following year. This is a free to attend event that's not to be missed.
