Home Educator Zooluminate

T'is the season and we are looking for a few more elves to help fill the animals' stockings!

Come along to our special Home Educator Zooluminate this Wednesday 17th December to learn about how we use enrichment at Christmas. You will get a full days access to the zoo with an afternoon of festive workshops and activities, plus the bonus of staying on site for our Zooluminate Christmas lights in the evening at a special combined discounted price. Christmas jumpers or festive fancy dress is encouraged!

Activities will include:

Christmas enrichment making workshop (please book separately)
Animal talks with enrichment
Festive trail
Christmas crafts
Workshop: Christmas enrichment making – Please note:each workshop is the same, so please do not book multiple workshops.
Times: 12pm, 1pm and 3pm

Then make sure to enjoy your evening of Zooluminate – a magical and wintery walk around our gorgeous site, taking in a series of beautiful light installations (from JHAV, the incredible team that brought you The Atlantic Project and Illuminate Festival of Light), which bring the zoo to life after dark in the most enchanting way possible!

Plus, brand new for this year – Santa's Grotto!
Meet Santa, get a surprise, mini plush, try some arts and crafts with one of our happy elves and get plenty of opportunities for those festive photos! This is a ticketed event, NOT included within Zooluminate general admission/annual pass tickets/Home Educator admission and spaces are strictly limited and may not be available on the evening, so we strongly suggest booking in advance. Each slot lasts approximately 20 minutes and tickets are £10 for 1 adult and 1 child.

Terms and conditions

We are not able to accept annual passes for educational visits. Our home educator days fall under this. Entry is heavily discounted and includes access to workshops and a bespoke programme of activities exclusively for home educating families visiting on the day.
One £25 entry rate is available per booking. Any additional members of the group will need to be booked on the accompanying adult and children rates. This includes one day admission and is not inclusive of our annual pass. Pre-booking is essential for the event to get the special £25 rate.
This special discounted price is only available on the Home Educator day and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Zooluminate tickets are for entry only and do not include the free drink and mince pie included with full price Zooluminate tickets.
Please meet outside the restaurant 5 minutes before the start of your workshop time.
Children must be accompanied by an adult when attending the workshop.
The behaviour of children is the responsibility of the accompanying adults. There will be points throughout the workshop when it will be possible to leave the room if necessary.
Strict start times apply and no entry will be permitted for late arrival to the workshops.
