Venus Café, Teignmouth

Teignmouth (formerly Captain’s Table) joins as yet another stunning location by the sea. Located on the promenade with amazing sea views, we will be open from 9am to 5pm 7 days a week. We are currently open until 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings - last orders 8pm. This fantastic spot set in the heart of Teignmouth offers great food all day and brings all the Venus favourites. Venus unique handmade products are on offer with similar menus to Bigbury on Sea and Broadsands. AND – we will be open in the evening.

Teignmouth sees the introduction of some delicious new dishes: Teign mussels in garlic, cream and onion; a fantastic seafood platter for 2; a Venus steak sandwich with cheese, red peppers and caramelised red onion and the most yummy of puddings – a trio of handmade Venus desserts with key lime pie, bakewell and chocolate caramel tart.

The new dishes join the very popular Venus Tacos, hand spun milkshakes, grass fed Devon burgers, Venus coconut prawn and the much loved homemade cakes. Something for everyone.

Dog friendly

We’re excited to launch our new canine menu developed for our much-loved four-legged customers. The range of appetising dog products offers a main course of three healthy chews from The Canine Menu Ltd. Fully digestible, sustainable, and naturally made from by-products of the meat industry, they are Individually wrapped in fully recyclable packaging, ensuring there’s no single-use plastic. Serve up with Jude’s Dog ice cream as a lick-smacking dessert for your pooch and they will be in doggy heaven. Packed with health benefits, it’s a real treat and completely safe for dogs, and the great news is that 5% of the sales go to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home!
