A space for creating through story, sound, and movement.
Led by Patrice Naiambana (RSC, Damsel, Death in Paradise), whose practice developed through an apprenticeship in African Theatre in Sierra Leone, these sessions draw on creolisation as a performance principle—working across traditional and contemporary forms to generate fresh, hybrid expressions.
Participants will explore making from lived experience, memory, and imagination, working as an ensemble through voice, rhythm, and embodied practice. Live music is integral, with David Holmes, Devon-based Music Therapist, supporting the process. Instruments include mbira, djembes, ngoni, percussion, and electronic sound.
