HALF-TERM TREAT WITH ‘KIDS FOR A QUID’ TRAVEL ON THE SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY.
There’s a special schools half-term treat for lovers of steam trains and the beautiful autumnal colours of the Devon countryside on the South Devon Railway (SDR) with its ‘Kids for a Quid’ week.
From Saturday October 20th to Friday 26th, all children (aged three to 15) will be able travel on the trains between Buckfastleigh and Totnes and return, for just £1, as long as they come with a grown-up too, of course! Under three’s travel free anyway.
There's no need to book ahead, just turn up and pay your £1 at the booking office! The SDR looks forward to welcoming lots of children during half term and helping mums and dads to enjoy with a very affordable day out as they enjoy some of the best views in Devon.
Then, on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October, the SDR brings down the curtain on the main 2018 season with their special ‘Half Price Weekend’ when all tickets to ride on the railway are at half normal fares.
Trains run all day throughout half-term week and more details can be seen at www.southdevonrailway.co.uk and www.southdevonrailway.co.uk/timetable/fares
So, why not come and take a ride?
