At a free author talk in Tavistock, local writer Terry Green will reveal the part that his home town plays in his newly-launched crime thriller, Dangerous Art.
The event is being held in the town's library, from 2pm to 4pm on Friday 26th June. It is the last author talk in his tour of Devon libraries, to introduce his latest crime thriller and to support the Crime Writers Association's National Crime Reading Month.
From the man who introduced the British habit of queueing to more than 40 countries, here's the chance to hear about the twists and turns of his new "life of crime". And to find out more about Dangerous Art, published May 21st which continues the nail-biting adventures of his hero Jake Elderfield, a management accountant turned corporate fire-fighter. Dangerous Art is a fast-paced thriller packed with twists, danger, and deception. The action moves from the luxury of Burgh Island to the dark heart of Prague, with its gripping finale in the area around Tavistock.
National Crime Reading Month is an initiative developed and run by the Crime Writers' Association, this year in collaboration with The Reading Agency. It features events across the UK and Ireland run by libraries, bookshops, book clubs, reading groups, and even museums. Find out more by following the #PickUpAPageTurner hashtag on social media.
The event at Tavistock Library is free to attend, with donations to library funds accepted on the day. For more details, contact Tavistock Library on 01822 612218.
